Kaye is arguably one of Singapore’s most versatile and ever evolving musicians. Over the decades, he has morphed across the performance spectrum from bands to DJing to live sets with computers and blending everything from his trusty saxophone, to drum machines, analog synths and more. His love for music technology is responsible for his ever evolving setup, and all this is deeply entrenched in a wide range of musical genres. From deep and acid laden House and Techno, to Afro/Cuban/Latin beats, Funk, Disco Boogie and Hip Hop wrapped in electro boogie vibes, all seasoned in the roots of jazz and soul.
With experience spanning over almost two decades, Kaye has played at almost every major club, and at even more bars in Singapore. While a number of them have closed down, Kaye is continually chugging on representing his unique eclectic style.
His career in the underground scene has not gone unnoticed in slightly more mainstream mediums, which has led to him being booked by high end fashion houses for their parties – from Louis Vuitton to Gucci, Chanel to Christian Dior and beyond – and international events such as Beijing Olympics (2008), World Expo (2010), Singapore Grand Prix, Zoukout, and the Volvo Ocean Race.
Very familiar with playing at events for prestigious brands and corporations, Kaye knows how to handle an elite, well heeled crowd so that they always go home with a smile on their faces.
