THE APEX PROJECT, the fresh faced award-winning a cappella group from Singapore is slowly but surely making waves in the Singapore music scene. Not only are they the first a cappella group in Singapore to successfully crowdfund their debut EP on Kickstarter, they are also in talks to tour Asia in 2017 with an immersive live-concert event that combines film, art and dance with a pop I jazz repertoire that will redefine a cappella .
Probably one of the most popular and well-known band coming out from Channel U’s Superband Competition. Juz-B’s niche is in the fact that this All-Malay Acappella Group sings Mandarin Songs throughout the whole competiton which is definitely an Eye-Opener and a Crowd-Puller during its SuperBand Days. It could also be said that Juz-B was the Pioneer Group/Performer that transcends the language barrier in a National Televised Competition in Singapore’s Tv History. Even before SuperBand”, Juz- B has been making waves locally and throughout the region
Musically, Vocaluptuous is adventurous, funky and refreshing, preferring an eclectic mix of music styles like traditional, jazz, bossa nova, R&B and pop and diverse languages ranging from Chinese, Malay, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese and even Hindi. Vocaluptuous sets itself apart with its unique brand of Singaporean music, establishing a sound that locals can instantly relate to while providing a cultural insight to foreigners.
Key Elements is a group of jazz-loving singers who are passionate about a cappella music and want to spread their love for music far and wide. While their roots are in jazz and pop, they are not afraid to challenge and push themselves to explore new things, and in the process traverse those musical boundaries.
Resonance is a bunch of people brought together by a common love for singing. They sing just about anything — from contemporary pop to choral, alternative rock to swing, and even the occasional alternative rock to swing, and even the occasional techno tune, working towards their goal of bringing a greater awareness of a cappella music through their adventurous repertoire.
