Jazz Kitchen cooks some jazz for the launch of QuickBooks Online

Amidst the charming grounds of La Villa, Jazz Kitchen cooks up jazz for Singtel & Intuit’s launch of QuickBooks Online.

Although I was not an avid jazz fan (I only started becoming one recently), I knew Jazz Kitchen was going to take jazz up to a higher level once they started playing songs that I was unfamiliar with, yet mesmerized me immediately.

Among the list of jazz songs which usually captivated me for the first time, I found myself humming along with The Girl From Ipanema. I particularly enjoyed watching Melissa (vocalist of Jazz Kitchen) in this song. While her voice glided through the melody, her suggestive smiles and body sways exhibited such indulgence.

Speak Low (originally by Billie Holiday) is one of the songs which I fell in love at first sight (or heard). I was endlessly fascinated by Christy (bassist of Jazz Kitchen) who literally whacked the ‘feel’ of my new-found love song on his bass. And I don’t think it takes a jazz fanatic to recognize that Fabian (saxophonist of Jazz Kitchen) is one of the best saxophonist players around!
