Elgar kwek is a violin performance graduate with honours from Britain’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD), He had been a performer since the age of 9. Catapulted from the position of 1st violinist and rotating concert master from 1985 to 1991 with Singapore Youth Orchestra, he participated in several international music festivals. He is most noted as a guest violin soloist in the Aspen Music Festival during the late 1990s while performing with UBS Verbier Orchestra as 1st violinist.
