New Year at the Espie!

I spent four whole days of my new year at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre, not such a bad thing, cos the acts that I lined up managed to draw quite a big crowd. Here are some pictures to share:

SONOFA

the audience was awed, their EPs were sold out after the first set. It was really awesome to see all the energy going on on stage, it was really a burst of electro remixes, with cool ass equipment and percussions.

RETRO GROOVE

It was a night of oldies – rock, pop, blues. The crowd loved it!

RAINDOGS

Frances is just at a young tender age, but you can never guess if you didnt see her in person. Her vocals arent your teeny bop M2M types, she sings jazz and blues like a queen of those genres, not to mention having aced an Alicia Keys number.

MUNKEE BUSINESS

they surprised me with Shout, Take On Me, and The New Commandment! It’s like new wave mixed with pop. And the rendition of Map of the Problematique (Muse) was so good.
